Please pray for my husband, who is wanting a vasectomy Please pray for my DH who has scheduled a vasectomy. We have 5 beautiful children and our youngest is only 7 months old. Please pray for God to show him the Truth and that he is willing to be obedient . I know this is a sinful act which would have horrible repercussions for our family, our marriage and for my husband personally. He is Protestant. thank you.

Re: Please pray for my husband, who is wanting a vasectomy I know how you feel.My husband had a vasectomy 28 years ago and we never got permission from the Catholic Church to have one.Which you can under certain conditions.My sister did and then have her operation.I had my third c section and third son.There was no way i wanted to have another c section at over 35 years old. So I took my chances and prayed I would be forgiven.I will meet God someday and see what he says.But don't beat yourself up about it.Sometimes we have to do things that are for the best.But I will pray for you.

Where did you hear this? As far as I understand, the Church doesn't ever give permission to have a vasectomy. The only case where the Church permits sterilization is if it's to treat a problem (e.g. uterine cancer), not to prevent pregnancy. We have an infinitely loving God who is always ready to forgive those who seek his mercy. Through the Sacrament of Confession, we are truly forgiven and left with the assurance that when we stand before God at the end of our lives without worrying whether those sins we confessed we forgiven. Re: Please pray for my husband, who is wanting a vasectomy Well it is true.and I went to confession too.My sister got special compensation in the 60s for a problem she was having and it would kill her if she had another child.
